Welcome to The Royal Bank of Scotland's 5th North Sea Oil and Gas Conference website

On 17 January 2006, the RBS North Sea Conference proudly celebrated its fifth anniversary at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. This year's theme was of the maturing nature of the UK Continental Shelf and the impact of both economic and government forces on realising the basin's full potential.

In celebration of our fifth anniversary Sir Fred Goodwin, Chief Executive of The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, opened the 2006 Conference followed by a key note speech by Lord Browne of Madingley, Chief Executive of BP plc.
